Want to get paid to slang drinks at the Jean Cocteau Cinema? Our team is growing and we’re looking to hire a BARTENDER/CONCESSIONS to work with us part-time to do just that! You MUST HAVE previous bartending experience (obviously) and have experience or be willing to be trained on coffee and concessions. We have lots of fun and creative events and looking for someone that has the experience and fits the vibe!

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Bartender/Concessionnaire
The Jean Cocteau Cinema, a Highgarden Entertainment company located in Santa Fe's Railyard, is seeking a committed, rock star bartender/barista to provide excellent service to patrons. Reporting to the Theatre Manager, the bartender/barista will staff the bar/concessions counter, including serving alcoholic beverages, coffee, other concessions items as well as sell movie tickets, adding to a great atmosphere, and creative experiences and events for all visitors.
The Jean Cocteau is a small theater with a capacity of 76; the staff is small and hands on.
Responsibilities
Open the bar for service, serve customers at the bar/concessions including alcohol, coffee, tea, pastries, as well as sell tickets.
Maintain cleanliness and supplies including taking out trash, restocking bathrooms, etc.
Assist in preparing for, and working, events.
Follow quality and safety controls.
Support a fun, safe atmosphere for patrons.
Requirements and skills
Proficient or ability and interest in becoming proficient in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility.
Excellent customer service skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain professional in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
Understanding of mixology, serving limits, and legal compliance issues related to alcohol service.
Ability to work with diverse personalities.
Ability and willingness to be flexible and pitch in in other areas as needed.
Pay and Benefits
From: Pay starts at $15 per hour + tips
Benefits: Benefits include PTO and discounts on movies, merchandise, and events, as well as merchandise at sister business next-door, Beastly Books.
Job Type: This position is Part-time/Full-Time
Education, Certifications, Experience:
2+ years customer service experience in Food & Beverage (F&B), concessions/ticketing, restaurant/bar service or retail.
Current NM alcohol service certification or the ability to obtain one within 30 days, to be paid by the company.
Current NM food handler certification or ability to obtain one within 30 days, to be paid by the company.
Point of Sale (POS) experience.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, stand, for prolonged periods and occasionally carry heavy items.
We follow all CDC sanitization requirements and prevailing masking/distancing/capacity ordinances if any.

Are you available and willing to work Tuesday through Saturday, 11am-7pm and fluctuating hours depending on showings and events, up to 10pm?"
Are you able and willing to perform the following physical requirements: walk, stand for prolonged periods, bend, reach, etc. and occasionally carry heavy items?"
